Tourism Growth in Crete's Airports
Crete's two international airports have seen remarkable growth in 2024:
Chania International Airport recorded an 8.3% increase in passenger traffic in the first six months of the year, with more than 1.4 million total arrivals. Out of those, 994,000 were international visitors.
Heraklion International Airport welcomed over 9.2 million passengers in the same period — an impressive 11% increase compared to the first half of 2023.
