According to the latest data from the Cyprus Statistical Service, a total of 3,176 sedans were registered on the island in January 2025. This marks a 7.4% decrease compared to January 2024, when the number stood at 3,430 vehicles.
Interestingly, 49.3% (or 1,565 units) of the registrations were for new cars, while 50.7% (or 1,611 units) were for used cars. Hybrids continue to gain popularity among Cypriots, accounting for 44% of all sedan sales in January. In contrast, electric vehicles (EVs) still have a limited share of the market, with only 5.6% of the sales.
