Record-Breaking December 2024
In December 2024, Cyprus welcomed 133,063 tourists, compared to 123,630 in December 2023, marking an outstanding growth of 7.6%. This not only represents a significant increase but also shattered the monthly record for tourism in the history of the island.
The largest group of visitors in December came from the United Kingdom, accounting for 23.7% of all arrivals. Other top contributors included:
Israel: 17.4% (23,168 tourists)
Poland: 9.4% (12,473 tourists)
Greece: 9% (11,969 tourists)
Germany: 5.7% (7,535 tourists)
Tourist Arrivals in 2024: A Record Year for Cyprus
Overall, in 2024, Cyprus saw 4,040,200 tourists, a 5.1% increase from 2023, when the island hosted 3,845,652 visitors. Notably, this number exceeded the previous record set in 2019, which stood at 3,976,777.
