On June 21–22, 2025, the town of Gavar in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province will host the 4th International Handicraft Festival, as announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia on Tuesday, May 27.
For two days, Gavar will transform into a vibrant celebration of culture and craftsmanship, where traditions come alive through music, dance, cuisine, and artisan skills. The festival will bring together talented artisans from Armenia and around the world, offering them a platform to showcase handmade creations and share their craft techniques.

Festival Highlights:
Handmade Exhibitions & Sales: Explore and purchase ceramics, textiles, woodcrafts, jewelry, and authentic Armenian souvenirs.
Interactive Workshops: Hands-on experiences for both children and adults — try your hand at traditional crafts.
Culinary Zone: Taste delicious Armenian dishes along with international cuisine.
Live Performances: Folk music, national dances, cultural shows, and vibrant concerts.
Family-Friendly Entertainment: Thematic contests, fun activities, and animated shows for all ages.
Organizers emphasize that the festival not only supports the preservation of Armenia’s intangible cultural heritage, but also serves as a platform for cross-cultural exchange, strengthening international ties, and promoting domestic tourism.
Open to both locals and international visitors, the Gavar Handicraft Festival promises to be a true celebration of tradition, creativity, and Armenian hospitality — right in the heart of the country.
