Armenia Opens New Honorary Consulate in Bari, Italy
A new Honorary Consulate of Armenia has officially opened in the city of Bari, located in the Apulia region of Italy.
According to the Embassy of Armenia in Italy, “The opening of this new consulate is a significant step toward strengthening historic friendships and centuries-old cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties between Armenia and the Apulia region.”
A Hub for Armenians and Strengthened Cooperation
The consulate, located at Corso Vittorio Emanuele 30, Bari, is expected to become a support center for Armenian citizens and those seeking to deepen cooperation between Apulia and Armenia.
Introducing the newly appointed honorary consul, the embassy noted that Dario Rupen Timourian, born in 1974, graduated from the Law Faculty of Bari University and is an entrepreneur in the construction and furniture industries. His family settled in Bari in 1915, immediately integrating into the social and business life of the city and the region after the Armenian Genocide.

Mission of the New Honorary Consul
“Honorary Consul Dario Rupen Timourian will address the protection of Armenian citizens in Apulia and implement initiatives aimed at promoting and strengthening scientific, cultural, educational, economic, and commercial cooperation,” the embassy stated.
The Embassy of Armenia in Italy congratulated the new honorary consul and wished him success in fulfilling his mission.
