Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced the launch of seven new routes from Abu Dhabi, beginning in November 2025.

Among the newly added destinations is Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, which is steadily gaining popularity among travelers from the Gulf region and Europe.

According to Etihad Airways, the decision to open flights to Armenia reflects the growing demand for the country as a travel destination. Yerevan has become an attractive hub for its rich history, vibrant cultural scene, gastronomy, and strategic geographic location. The new route is expected to strengthen both tourism and business ties between the Middle East and the South Caucasus.

Every new route not only connects passengers to new cities but also draws more visitors to Abu Dhabi. The capital of the UAE continues to position itself as a cultural and economic hub, offering world-class museums, shopping, entertainment venues, and family-friendly attractions. With these additional flights, Etihad Airways aims to enhance Abu Dhabi’s role as a major travel gateway.

By expanding its network in November 2025, Etihad Airways strengthens its competitive position against other regional giants such as Emirates and Qatar Airways. For Armenia, the launch of direct flights from Abu Dhabi is expected to boost tourist arrivals and improve international connectivity, creating new opportunities for both leisure and business travel.
