Hybrid vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in Cyprus, as more residents opt for eco-friendly yet practical alternatives to traditional combustion engines.
According to the Cyprus Statistical Service, hybrid car sales grew significantly in the first half of 2024. Between January and June, hybrids made up 37.2% of all vehicle sales across the island — a clear sign of shifting consumer preferences. In contrast, fully electric vehicles (EVs) accounted for only 3.3% of total sales.

In total, 7,679 hybrid sedans were sold during the first six months of 2024:
