On Friday, February 21, the Cyprus Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works will hold an electronic lottery for grants aimed at high-powered motorcycle owners. Given the high demand, winners will be randomly selected through the platform randomdraws.com in the presence of representatives from the Motorcycle Association of Cyprus.

Lottery Details:

A total of 1,341 applications have been submitted, exceeding the set limit.

598 grant recipients will be chosen.

An additional 98 grants will be redistributed from the quota allocated to less powerful vehicles.

743 applicants will be placed on a waiting list and may receive grants if the primary beneficiaries do not claim theirs.

Results will be posted on the official website: roadsafetycyprus.gov.cy, and winners will be notified via email.

Program Conditions:

The grant is €500 for the purchase of protective gear or its actual cost if it is lower.

The support is available to Cypriot citizens, EU nationals, and third-country nationals who are permanently residing on the island, own a motorcycle, and hold an A, A1, or A2 driving license.

It’s important to note that in recent months, Cyprus has seen a sharp increase in motorcycle-related accidents. This government initiative is part of a three-year program worth €1.05 million, which will also cover gloves and other protective gear in future phases. In the previous two rounds of funding, 1,200 people have already received financial support, totaling over €600,000.

Important: If you have previously received a grant for gear, you are not eligible to participate in the program again.
