The Cyprus Road Transport Department continues its efforts to enhance road safety and reduce traffic violations. One of the key tools in this mission is the installation of traffic enforcement cameras, which are steadily increasing in number across the island.

Starting Monday, September 16, 2024, drivers in Limassol could receive fines at a newly monitored intersection:
Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue & Agios Filaxeos Avenue.

At this location, three fixed cameras have been installed to detect:

Running a red light

Crossing the stop line

Speed limit violations

The goal, according to authorities, is to reduce serious accidents in high-traffic zones.
