On Monday, July 15, the Armenian Tourism Committee published updated statistics on the number of international tourists visiting the country in June 2024.

According to the report, 180,718 travelers visited Armenia in June, compared to 167,049 in May 2024 and 199,159 in June 2023.

The data reveals that 63% of visitors arrived by air, confirming Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport as the main entry point for foreign tourists.

Where Do Armenia’s Tourists Come From?

The majority of June’s tourists came from Russia (41%), followed by Georgia (13%) and Iran (7%). Other countries in the top ten included:

India – 3%

USA – 2%

Philippines – 1%

Ukraine – 1%

China – 1%

France – 1%

Germany – 1%

Who Visits Armenia the Most?

According to the report, the most active travelers are aged 35–44, while teenagers (13–17) and seniors (65+) represent the smallest share of tourists.

Overall, Armenia welcomed 947,512 travelers in the first half of 2024, bringing the country close to the one-million-visitor mark in just six months.
